Programming Competition

The Department of Computing Sciences is hosting a programming competition for our department’s students and high-school IT learners. Teams of 3 will compete to solve the most programming problems within three hours.

Date: 8 Aug 2017

Time: 17:00 – 21:00

General Information

  1. Pizza will be served from 17:00 to participants before commencement of the competition.

  3. Closing date for entries: 4 Aug 2017
  4. Permitted languages: Delphi, C# and Java
  5. Prizes for students and scholars (two separate competitions):
  • 1st - R3000.00 cash prize
  • 2nd - R2000.00 cash prize
  • 3rd - R1000.00 cash prize

Top Grade 11 team - R1000.00 (if not in top 3)
Top First Year team - R1000.00 (if not in top 3)

Winner at each satilite venue - R1000.00 (if not in top 3)

Students please indicate "Mandela" as your school (leave Teacher field blank)
